Position Title: Assistant Event Studio Facility Manager Reports To: L’Cheriyve Studio Director and Owner Hours: Weekends - Various Hours SUMMARY: The Assistant Event Studio Facility Manager collaborates with our EVENT MANAGEMENT TEAM, clients, and vendors in event services and Studio operations, warehouse operations to ensure all events are set up for success and events run smoothly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensure the studio stays in excellent repair, clean, and in pristine condition at all times. - UPON Arrival sweep and pick up trash- parking lot, entry door from the parking lot, front 135th street ramp, landscape, and front door entry. - UPON ARRIVAL Put Red Carpet out as instructed by Studio Manager. - UPON ARRIVAL complete any event set up as instructed by Studio Manager. - PRE-Clean all the BATHROOMS and restock toilet paper, soap, Kleenex, and other supplies THEN throughout the event. - UPON ARRIVAL – SET A/C’S at 70 and hook up/turn on the A/C in the warehouse if it is needed. - UPON ARRIVAL Walk the PARKING LOT AND Front Lawn/Ramp/Door and clean - picking up trash then and throughout the event. Let the Studio Manager know if there are any notable problems. - Work assigned area as assigned by Studio Manager: AREA 1: Bathrooms and Kitchen AREA 2: Warehouse and Studio and Parking Lot - DURING - Remove the trash from behind the BAR and wipe up any large spills AND DUMP THE LIQUID BINS. - DURING - Walk the event to make sure there are no problems of any kind. Report any problems to the Studio Manager. MANAGE THE NO SMOKING IN THE BUILDING POLICY. - DURING - Make sure all exit doors inside and to the outside are unlocked and UNBLOCKED during the event and accessible by all guests. - DURING - Wipe up all spills on or around tables during the event and report any damages to the Studio Manager. - DURING - Clean up any spills that could damage the floor, furniture or accessories immediately. - DURING - Make sure Catering Team is bagging trash properly (provide Caterer with trash bags) and keeping the kitchen in a clean and safe environment if you have any concerns about the kitchen LET THE STUDIO MANAGER KNOW. - DURING and POST – Repair any damages or breakdowns if possible during the event and report any damages to the Studio Manager. - CLIENTS are responsible for hiring serving and bussing staff to buss tables throughout the event; however, if you see it not being done then check in with the Studio Manager and as a team buss the tables. - POST - Prior to Client/Caterer departing make sure nothing is in the refrigerator and freezer. Remember the refrigerator in the closet. - POST- Prior to Client/Caterer departing make sure nothing is left in the oven or on the stovetop. - POST - Complete TEAR DOWN as directed by Studio Manager. - POST - Make sure all bathrooms have FULLY stocked toilet paper, hand towels, and Kleenex. DESIRED SKILLS: - Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-service orientation - Must be self-motivated and able to work independently once given direction. - Must be able to find creative solutions and take ownership of given tasks. - Must be able to manage competing demands while being extremely adaptable and flexible. - Must be able to act in a calm and authoritative capacity in the event of an emergency. - Excellent verbal communication skills – Bilingual Spanish is a plus. QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge & skill requirements): To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: - Core Competencies: Customer Focus, Teamwork, Communication, Attention to Detail - Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and effective oral communications. - Ability to work effectively and independently on multiple simultaneous tasks within a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment - Ability to multi-task and shift projects - Ability to LIFT or Move up to 25 pounds EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Required: - 1 year of event or facility/warehouse work experience. WORKING CONDITIONS: Working conditions are dynamic. Work requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule that requires weekend and/or evening hours. Work requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds or more. Must reside within the geographic territory of Gardena. Employee will be using their personal vehicle and cell phone, therefore the employee must hold a valid driver’s license and have appropriate auto insurance. Must reside within the geographic territory of 15 miles from L’Cheriyve in Gardena, CA. All Work performed is 1099. Studio Manager is responsible for invoicing L’Cheriyve. No Benefits provided. No taxes will be withheld.
