Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue’s Eastern Regional Headquarters in Concord, Virginia is open by reservation for small, pre-scheduled, guided tours. To book your tour, please read the tour details here then click the link to purchase tickets. TOUR DETAILS 1. Walking tours are limited to 6 people per group to allow for social distancing. 2. Tour tickets are for one person regardless of age. 3. Tickets MUST be presented at the tour - no admission without a ticket. 4. Children under 10 require one adult per child for supervision. 5. The ticket donation is $15 per person regardless of age. 6. The tour lasts 1 hour with 15 minutes free time at the end of each tour for interacting with the donkeys for a total of 1.25 hours. 7. The tour path is over gravel, dirt, grass and undulating, uneven terrain. Motorized wheelchairs or assistants to help maneuver manual wheelchairs are recommended. 8. Tours begin and end promptly at the designated tour time. If you arrive early, please stay in your car until your designated tour time. At your tour time, proceed to the office to check in and sign our visitor waiver. 9. If you arrive late, you may join your tour group mid way and will be asked to sign the visitor waiver with the tour guide. 10. The only public bathroom facility during tours is a handicapped friendly port-a-potty. REEFUNDS, CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS Due to the limited availability of each tour, there are no refunds or changing dates allowed after tours are ticketed. In the event a tour has to be cancelled an alternate tour date will be scheduled. Cancelled tours will be published on the event page as soon as we know there is an issue. Please check the event page before coming out. WEATHER Tours are held rain or shine - unless the weather is unsafe (high winds, lightning, torrential downpour, ice, temperature advisories etc.) Please check the weather for 24538 (Concord, VA) for advisories before coming out. DIRECTIONS Please note that most GPS and mapping systems take you to the wrong address. Use "PVDR East" in the Google Maps search bar, and it will bring you right to the entrance. The visitor parking lot is to the right, just past the green entry gate. ADOPTER APPLICANTS Please note: If you are an adopter applicant, you are of course welcome to join the tour, but this is a facility tour -not for meeting adoptable donkeys. Our tour guides are not part of the adoption team and will not be able to show you adoptable donkeys or talk about specific adoptable donkeys.
