Description

The Farm Equipment Operator performs general farm work utilizing a variety of equipment that includes dump truck, spreader, planter, mower, and other various farm equipment at Holiday Tree Farms, Inc. Duties: • Operate farm equipment such as tractor, sprayer, dump truck, forklift, and a variety of required tools and implements. • Adjust, repair and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions or requires additional maintenance. • Work with crews in planting, weeding, and harvesting. • Perform regular and directed field maintenance to clear brush or fields using riding mowers or tractors, and gasoline-powered trimmers or chain saws. Set up, adjust and repair equipment as required. • Communicate with field supervisor on mechanical any issues with equipment. Qualifications: • Basic mechanical skills. • Maintain a safe work environment. • Team player. • Work independently. • Able to sit, stand, kneel or bend for long periods of time. • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind). • Must be able to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including a respirator. • Ability to work safely by following company safety and training programs. License and Certifications: • CDL helpful, but not required. • Ability to obtain a farm endorsement within 30 days. • Valid Oregon driver license required and must have good driving record. • Able to qualify for Company’s insurance carrier to operate company vehicles.
