WESTFORD, MA —The School Committee on March 18 named Christopher Chew as the next Superintendent of schools.
Chew is the principal of Westford's Stony Brook School, which serves grades 6 through 8, and will replace Bill Olsen on July 1, as the outgoing superintendent steps down after 15 years.
School Committee members said Chew would bring stability to the district, describing him as trustworthy.

Before he was principal here, he was a headmaster at North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend for three years, an assistant principal for three years in that same district. Before that he was a theater arts teacher at Tyngsborough High School He's worked as an English teacher, an artistic director for a nonprofit he cofounded, and listed Olsen as one of his references
