Description
* READ til END* His name is Rex, he is 2 years old. Just a little over 100 pounds, not fixed. Needs his distemper shot. Knows sit, shake paw, lay down.. when he’s not being stubborn. Fully house-trained minus sneaking some food here and there when no one is looking. He loves being groomed, he will jump in the bath for you and he’ll even sit while you dry him with a hair dryer. Good with other dogs. HATES CATS. He’s absolutely the best dog with kids, they can climb and lay on him.. he’s very protective of every kid he comes into contact with. He has the Great Pyrenees personality.. calm, mellow, laid back... until a stranger comes over and it’s full blown protective mode. We’ve always had people come and go over the past year and he’s never bitten anyone.. until today, and unfortunately that is the reason we are rehoming him. He’s always been a little intimidating to new people, especially strange men, but never to the point of concern. I think because the kids were outside playing when my brother showed up, he saw him as a threat to the kids, they were next to Rex playing and my brother walked up and put out his hand to let him sniff.. he bit down. As much as we hate to see him go, with me babysitting kids and having people constantly come and go, I just can’t take any chances. He needs someone with the experience and time to work with him.
