Republican voters have proven them selves to be bigger idiots than their dreaded Radical Liberal Democrat counter part. How do I know this? Because they support the new more strict voting laws our state reps are about to pass, and Kemp will sign. The funny part is Kemp knows he is most likely going to lose to that Abrams woman next year, so he will probably tell Raffensperger to purge inactive voters early next year. But our SOS won't due to some legality that already protects voter rights Kemp signed in 2018 The thing republican supporters don't seem to realize is Georgia passed a voter ID law 25 years ago, and made it mandatory in 2005. I used to just walk in my rural precinct and tell them my name, and they looked it up and said ok. 10 years ago I walked into my local precinct and the old man working the poll said let me see your ID, I showed it to him. The catch is he had known me since I was 13. Oh, any way starting in 2015 our republican reps added to our state voter regulations, and in early 2016 purged inactive voters from the state roll. I think as Secretary of State, Kemp did follow Federal Guide lines when he removed inactive voters, but doing it in an election year may not have been a good idea. Unless he was worried that too many people he didn't think (want) should vote, did? Overall there were only 300 valid complaints filed from people who where wrongly removed from the voter roll. Not enough to make a difference. Then in early 2019 our republican reps approved a $100 million contract to replace all our old voting machines with new Dominion machines due to their reliability. We were told at the time the upgrade was to ensure voting integrity. It did, and 3 recounts in a few counties proved it for the 2020 election. I give Gov. Kemp great credit for expanding Absentee Voting due to the Pandemic. President Trump did not like that at all. It has been pretty well documented now that Trump cost himself the election in Ga. because of the way he told people mail in voting was bad, so go vote in person on election day. But as we now know a lot of older white republican voters did not vote, either because they took the Pandemic seriously and did not want to go vote in a crowd, and they did not vote Absentee because Trump told them not to. Purdue cost him self the run off because he Parroted every thing Trump said. I've only got to talk with 2 republicans who still believe Absentee voting last November was full of fraud. When I ask them to tell me what fraud? They do not have a real answer, they just believe what is not true, is true, because Trump told them so. We have had a secure Voting ID system for a couple of decades now, and Absentee voting is well covered. Idiot's believe people can just go on the internet and request a ballot, and it will show up. Then those people can still go vote in person. Overall that is not true in any state, especially Ga. I helped my senior relative get their Absentee Ballot, and our SOS web site worked just like Republicans allowed it to be set up in 2015. Because our voter registration has been tied to our only official state ID or DL, only one vote can be cast with that identification. I had a neighbor who requested and received an Absentee ballot, but then he saw our local early voting place was not busy and just went in to vote. The early voting place was like 1/4 mile from my hood. When they scanned his DL, the poll worker said "sir you have an outstanding Absentee Ballot. You can either vote provisional now, or bring in your Absentee Ballot and then vote regular. Or fill out the Absentee Ballot and put it in the Drop Box out front that is picked up every night for security reasons." He walked the 7 minutes back to his house, got his Absentee Ballot, walked back to the Precinct and gave it to them, they scanned and voided it, and he early voted in person. There was nothing wrong with our system of voting last year, and so far no one has said a word about problems with the January runoff, because there were none. I know a few independent voters who voted against Purdue because he supported Trumps view last February the coronavirus was no big deal. As for Lauffler, she was a Lap Dog for Trump just like Kemp has admitted he is recently when he said he would fully support Trump in 2024 if he runs for President again. Seriously! Trump called our Gov Kemp a fool, hapless, a clown. Trump attacked our SOS in a way that caused him and his family and several other people to start getting death threats, but Kemp still supports him! Why is it so difficult for you hard core republicans to understand your party will be the Minority in Georgia in 2 years, and possibly wiped out in 6 in a few other Red States? I wish we had a party that represented the Middle, but we don't. I don't like how far left the Democrats have gone the last 10 years, but the Republicans have gone much further right, like back to 1955? Right now the odds of Abrams beating Kemp in 2022 are the same as Osoff beating Purdue. Sincerely Cletus B. Rickenbacker
