we are working band- (working now- more to come.) we are seeking an experienced (or can you impress us so much experience is not the sole criteria). 5 piece :Keys, drums, bass guitar, sax/woodwinds. We need a singer with a big presence. female preferred. but a strong male singer. could be fine. Must have a range of styles. from all recent covers to, blues, R&B rock to jazz. Jill Scott to Tori Kelly to Aretha, to Lydia Pense (blues- cold blood) original tunes coming. demo album coming in the late summer. funding in hand.. age 18-35 ?? we have a great place to rehearse. all equipment PA is set up. we want to play jazz standards 30s 40s50s. (L.o.ve., Sunny side of the street, Slow boat to China. Etc. ) too for outdoor background events, we can cover this now instrumentally but a singer would add a lot. step 1. reply to this CL search. tell me about yourself (bio) and a sample list of the songs you sing well. step 2. send a head shot and sample video audio or CD. You tube link. step 3. If we like what we see and hear we will tell you to contact our lead guitar player. (give you his contact info). then we will schedule you an audition time. (probably a Wed. night 6-9pm or Sunday around 12:30 noonish. i hope you are out there just waiting for a great band of skilled experienced musicians. we will be playing a lot this summer. time to start gearing up for the demand for live bands.
