West Coast Arborists, Inc. is hiring entry level Labor/Tree Maintenance Workers to work in Ontario and during peak season work in Irvine. Processes logs to lumber. Provides labor under the direction of the Nursery Manager to bring about completion of recycling and wood yard maintenance jobs. Involves skillful use of vehicles and equipment. Requires a strong consideration for safety. Basic Job duties: *Heavy Equipment Operator -a plus *Load and Unload trucks with nursery stock or materials weighing up to or more than 50 lbs. *Processing logs to lumber * Creating wood products as directed by Supervisor *Cleaning and weeding of yards *Chainsaw operation *Operate firewood prossessing equipment *Keeps work area clean and orderly *Gases all equipment and vehicles *Services vehicles and equipment *Assist other crewmembers as needed *Care for equipment used in nursery operations * Valid California driver's license-preferred * Clean driving record * Have reliable transportation to commute to Irvine during peak season * Have the ability to drive standard transmission/stick shift * Must Pass Pre-Employment Physical & Drug Testing * Competitive pay-Based on experience * Union Benefits-Medical Insurance and Retirement Incentive * Vacation/Holiday Incentive * Vision * Dental Insurance 50/50 * Sick Time An employment application must be completed to be considered for employment.
