Description
I'm a multi-instrumentalist musician that moved to the area last year, right before COVID hit. I was looking forward to plugging into the local music community, but that wasn't feasible until things got better. Not looking to make it big, just playing music that I enjoy and having fun.
I'm looking to join or start an alternative rock cover project, not interested in doing originals at the moment. I'm thinking that it would need to be flexible to increase the opportunities to play live, such as acoustic sets and loud venue sets.
I have a very wide range of bands and sounds that I enjoy, ranging from hard rock to softer material. I haven't put a lot of time into song selection, figuring that it would be a collaborative discussion. I am a fan of taking a song and creating a new take on the material, so making a soft song heavy and vice versa for example.
I play guitar, bass, and sing. I don't have a preference for my participation, as I can usually float to fit the need. I can play drums, but I don't have a kit at the moment and I'm very rusty. I have full gear and transportation, with the exception of PA equipment.
Hoping to hear from some like-minded individuals for input, feedback, etc.
