National cold storage company is now hiring General *Must be able to work in extreme cold environment* REQUIREMENTS OF GENERAL WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE • Basic math skills • Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by client • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility • Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed • Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud - 6 months production or manufacturing experience or training. -Stacking boxes -Must be ok with standing and walking around on your feet all day. - Must be able to stand for 6 to 8 hours on a rotation schedule. -Must be ok with adding slats into slices of chicken. - Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions - Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management. - Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. - Repeatedly lift 1 – 4 lbs. bags, occasionally lifting 25 lbs. containers - Continually meet internal and external customer expectations through teamwork, respect and willingness to help and support others. - Treat all team members with a respect while demonstrating positive work attitude and leadership skills. -Take initiative to continually improve performance and work processes through feedback, problem solving and generating new ideas. RESPONSIBILITIES OF GENERAL WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE • Pack, seal, and label materials/pallets for storing and/or shipping • Manually load and unload product on and off pallets, skids, or lifting device • Wrap pallets using a wrap machine • Document and report damages or any issues with products or materials to supervisor and follow instructions to correct the problem ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Operate manual pallet jack equipment - Clean and organize the warehouse at the end of the shift Unwrap, sort, stack, and label products while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. - Must be able to stand in one place and add slacks into slices of chicken. -Prepare to take chicken to the freezer area to be stored after adding the slacks. - Ensures all cartons are properly sealed and run through tape machine - Stencils cartons per customer requirements. - Assemble boxes by folding and preparing them for packaging. - Ensures defective product is not used by visually inspecting the product at the bulk stages and transfer conveyors for foreign particles or unsuitable products. - Extracts frozen product from container as needed using a 30-pound stainless steel fork - Maintains work are in clean conditions - Advises the Q.A. and / or Machine Operator suspect weight and finished pack issues. - Complies with all Good Manufacturing Practice and plant safety rules and regulations. - Carries out additional duties as required or requested by supervisory or management staff. - Work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks safely, effectively and efficiently. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee will frequently work around food processing machinery. conveyor belts, and hydraulic mechanical equipment. The employee is normally required to work in a warehouse with temperatures ranging from abnormally hot to ambient room temperature. SCHEDULE & PAY RATE OF GENERAL WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE -Monday - Friday -First shift 7:00 am - 4:30 pm (must be available on Saturday) -Second shift 5:00pm- 2:30am • $13.00 / hour Must wear steeled toe boots, pants and any shirt is fine (no offensive language) Mask are required- prefer they bring their own.
