Spray Technician Oil & Gas Job Description: We are currently seeking additional chemical applicators. Our company specializes in weed control in the Oil & Gas Industry. Current normal work hours to be expected from Monday through Friday. However, workers must be available to work on weekdays or weekends outside of the normal work hours. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $18.00 to $23.00 /hour GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: • Stand and walk for long periods of time • Ability to run or learn how to run chemical equipment • Ability to bend over and move around pipe • Be Prompt and on time • Must be able to push, pull and lift 50lbs • Apply chemicals per schedule, safety procedures and label instructions. • Calibrate sprayers and perform accurate measurements and mixing of chemicals. • Dress appropriately, in uniform, with proper safety gear for applications, per Department of Agriculture and OSHA. • Comply with the Department of Agriculture and Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) laws and regulations regarding the use of pesticides and licensing requirements. • Must possess and maintain a valid US Driver License, have reliable transportation to and from work. • Be able to pass a background check • Must be legally able to be employed in Colorado • 1-2 years of commercial experience is preferred, but not required for individuals who are willing to learn and have an eye for attention to detail. • Must be able to communicate efficiently in English • Hard worker with a respectable attitude towards job duties & co-workers • Team player oriented to perform tasks as a group or be self-motivated to complete certain duties solely assigned to you to perform on your own • Commercial Pesticide Applicator QS Certification with Colorado Department of Agriculture is a plus but not required • Basic math skills and conversions required to measure and mix proper amounts of liquids and granular products. • Able to spend +7 hours walking/standing to complete full property applications. • Preference will be given to applicants with previous oil field experience and clean driving records. Clean driving record applicants will be given preference.
