Learn to sing! COVID-safe voice lessons

Hello! Interested in private voice lessons for yourself or your child? Whether you are a seasoned performer or an absolute beginner, I am glad you are here. I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of students in my seven years of teaching. Through engaging, immersive lessons as well as weekly assignments, I work towards technical, artistic, and personal growth and the success of my students’ music goals. I prioritize vocal technique and vocal health while guiding development of organic creativity and harmony between mind and body. Common topics in lessons include, but are not limited to: - Vocal Technique (Eg. Expand range, ensure healthy technique, sharpen intonation and vocal agility, increase resonance, release tension, differentiate styles and access colors) - Breath control & body awareness - Music Theory - Sight-singing - Build confidence, develop stage presence, live performance tips, how to work with a band - Development of Authentic Artistic Voice, realization of creative goals & purpose - Vocal Improvisation - Songwriting - Aural Training (Learn to identify scales, intervals, chords and transcribe) - The anatomy and science of singing (How singing works, how sound is made, what is sound) - Music History - Introduction to DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations), home recording, & electronic processing - Introduction to piano - Preparing for an audition It is likely that we will have many good laughs in lesson together too! Private voice lessons are open to students of all genders ages 7 years old to adult. I work with everyone from absolute beginners to advanced vocalists. Recently, I’ve also enjoyed working with a number career-level instrumentalists who are interested in learning about singing for the first time. My additional experience includes being a nationally-touring performer myself working with various bands, theatre pieces, and interdisciplinary projects. All lessons are currently held virtually via ZOOM to prioritize safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be the case until further notice.
