Join us for this fun class that takes a musical trip around the world! For grades 3rd-6th. 7 week mini session
Take a musical trip around the world, and experience their sound of new cultures! Each week will highlight a different country, with a focus on musical traditions such as singing, instrumental music, and dance. Class participants will be singing and moving! Teaching will include a Biblical approach to the topics.
Instructor: Elsie Zacek
Instructor Bio: Elsie Johnson Zacek has been teaching music and communicating through the arts for over 25 years. A classically trained pianist and vocalist, she holds a double Masters in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Butler University. Elsie is passionate about nurturing engagement and artistic exploration in young people. She has taught privately for over twenty years, and served on the teaching staff of community and university arts schools in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, IN. She has been a member of Music Teacher's National Association (MTNA) since 2005, and was awarded the MTNA StAr Award for 2010-2011, given to outstanding music students who intend to teach music professionally.
It is NOT a drop-off class. A parent/sibling hangout will be located in the cafe.
