I'm a 45 year old bassist who is a professional during the day and a wanna be rocker at night. I've been playing bass for 14 years and have professional reliable equipment. I'm putting a band together with my buddies which whom I've played with in the past and who also have professional gear. We have a great practice spot with a full PA in a relaxed environment. We seem to gravitate to the 80's and 90's pop and alternative music but are open to jamming on anything that makes us happy. We are hoping to put together something that is first and foremost fun and if it leads to playing out that is merely a bonus. Most of us have day jobs and aren't really looking for a second job but we do love to play for a crowd so that is not off the table. We have scheduled a couple try-outs for a few different guitar players who we hope will fit in with our motley crew but are now searching for a rocking singer. We have played with both male and female vocalists in the past and have no real preference as long as you love to sing. We try not to take ourselves too seriously but we are looking for a committed band member who would be both dependable and reliable to learn lyrics and show up to our regularly scheduled practices. Playing an instrument in addition to singing would be great but not required. Age is not important only the desire to be a part of something and have a blast while doing it. We consider ourselves like a family that doesn't judge each other as we are all there for the same reason, a much needed release and momentary escape from the crazy world we live in and of course our love of making music! I know everybody says it so here's my disclaimer: no hard drugs, no drama and no ego trips!
