Mother with a disabled daughter in El Paso is looking for a helper. The disabled daughter is 39 years old and has a genetic disorder where she cannot speak and needs help moving and eating. But she is sweet, cheerful, happy and loves music. The helper needs to be kind, able bodied and strong because she is 5’6” tall and weighs about 150 pounds. Location: West Side of El Paso - Upper Valley (near Doniphan Rd and Country Club Dr) ** Sí, hablo español ** You can live-in for $7.25 an hour or live-out for $9 an hour. Morning Shift: Monday 7am-10am Tuesday 7am-10am Wednesday 7am-10am Thursday 7am-10am $9 per hour = $108 per week for Live-Out $7.25 per hour = $87 per week Live-In Help with: - Getting daughter dressed - Feeding breakfast - Cleaning up after breakfast - Entertaining daughter (she loves music and being outside) - Helping daughter exercise (she needs to move around every two hours by taking a short walk or dancing) - Taking daughter to bathroom - Making sure medication is taken The daughter usually gets picked up Monday to Friday for Day Habilitation. The program is currently closed because of Covid-19. We don’t know when it will open again. But, when it does open, she will get picked up at 8:30am and needs help walking down the driveway and getting on the bus. On the days she leaves at 8:30am, the helper would clean up until 10am. Cleaning tasks include helping to wash and fold laundry, take out trash, dust, and clean floors and bathrooms. Evening Shift: Monday 4pm-8pm Tuesday 4pm-8pm Wednesday 4pm-8pm Thursday 4pm-8pm $9 per hour = $144 per week for Live-Out $7.25 per hour = $116 per week for Live-In Help with: - Entertaining daughter (she loves music and being outside) - Helping daughter exercise (she needs to move around every two hours by taking a short walk or dancing) - Making dinner - Feeding dinner - Cleaning up after dinner - Taking daughter to bathroom - Giving daughter a shower - Helping to put on pajamas - Making sure medication is taken LIVE-IN OPTION: Live-In, work part time, and have your own furnished bedroom and bathroom. The house is clean, with lots of natural light, and has wifi and cable. In return for room and board, you would provide some companionship for the mother and daughter and help keep the house clean and orderly. Help with: - Some companionship for mother and daughter (mother speaks both English and Spanish) - Keeping the house a pleasant and organized by helping with: - Vacuum and mopping floors - Dust - Wash and fold laundry - Cooking - Wash dishes and keep kitchen clean - Clean bathrooms - Taking out trash - Watering plants If you would like live-in and earn additional money helping with the daughter, the rate is $7.25 an hour for a maximum of 35 hours a week. If you want to live-in, the arrangement is flexible and you can make a plan with the mother every week.
