Minecraft Adventures is a 5-day program offered in-person with limited enrollment! Limited "single-day" spots also available. OVERVIEW Minecraft Adventures offers students an exciting introduction to topics in environmental and life sciences. Kids explore and problem-solve to complete biology, climatology, and ecology challenges in our custom-designed Minecraft worlds. Minecraft: Education Edition is a place of unlimited opportunities for students to change, build, create, experiment, communicate, and learn together with a teacher's structure and guidance. During this week-long program, students might build a solar electricity-generation plant, explore a seed bank, create a seismic sensor, or create their own underwater farm! In addition to acquiring new knowledge, students will practice and strengthen the following competencies: Communication and teamworkOperational thinkingCreativity PROGRAM STRUCTURE Instructors begin each day with a preview of the key concepts to be covered, but the bulk of each day is reserved for students to engage in hands-on exploration and problem-solving.During each session, every student will work through various challenges specifically designed to apply their new knowledge and discover how the concepts are reflected in the world around them.Throughout, instructors pose open-ended questions to stimulate critical thinking and creativity, facilitate discussion, and provide support for independent and group problem-solving.
