The Statesman Journal newspaper is looking for newspaper delivery carriers in the DALLAS / MONMOUTH area! We also have routes in SALEM! Earn up to $400 per week, per route. Pay is per-delivery, with a higher rate depending on how many miles it takes to do the route. Routes are delivered at night, in your own car, 7 days per week. Most routes take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours to deliver each night. This is a great source of income for anyone who likes taking long night drives while listening to music or podcasts! Grab a coffee and enjoy a relaxing night drive with no traffic, and no boss watching over your shoulder. Just pick up your papers at the Distribution Center and drive away. All you have to do is get the papers delivered before deadline (6AM weekdays, 7AM weekends) and you're done! $300 bonus for new carriers after your first 6 weeks, paid as $100 per week over 3 weeks. Silverton-area carriers pick up their papers every night in Mt Angel. Salem-area carriers pick up their papers every night in NE Salem. Stayton carriers pick up their papers in Stayton. We also have Distribution Centers in Woodburn and Dallas. You must be over 18, have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and current insurance. You must be organized, detail oriented, and able to follow directions. Fast, efficient carriers will have the option of getting additional routes for more money. Most routes take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours to deliver, depending on how fast you are (and after the first week or two almost everyone gets pretty fast). Many of our carriers have two or more routes and earn over $2000 per month, not including tips. Our best carriers earn $2000 to $4000 per year just in tips! Once you learn the routes it takes anywhere from 4.5 to 6 hours per night to deliver both routes (Mon/Tues/Thu are 4.5 hours, Wed/Sun are about 6). Pays about $780 total per week not including tips. If you get 25 miles per gallon you're spending about $134 per week for gas (assuming $3 per gallon). And it's about $9 per week for bags. So you're taking home $637 profit per week (not including oil changes and wear and tear on tires), which is about $17.94 per hour if you assume it takes you 35.5 hour per week. That's $2760 per month, or $33,124 per year, not including tips. There are also some smaller, in-town routes available in Salem. Once you get your foot in the door and get a feel for how everything works it's totally possible to change routes, or get a second or even a third route.
