Bassist looking to start a new project in Edwardsville or Metro East for fun and occasional gigging purposes. Will need 1 or 2 guitarists, 1 or 2 singers, a drummer, and possibly keys. About the Music: I have played everything from classic country to pop to R&B to metal. My goal/wish is to put together a playlist of rarely heard, but easily recognizable pop songs from any era. I would like the set lists to be upbeat, danceable, enjoyable, and sometimes surprising. For example, "Loverboy" by Billie Ocean, "I Gotta Feeling" Black Eyed Peas, "Baker Street" Gerry Rafferty, "Need You Now" Lady A, "Lunatic Fringe" Red Rider, you get the point, eclectic, varied, and fun. Attaching a list I made for more examples. Nothing is in stone. Always willing to add or switch out songs as long as they are similar. About my Space: Sold my entire music room a few years ago so I am starting new. I have a large practice space in Edwardsville. Currently have a tiny PA system with 1 mic. I have a full set of drums, and of course my bass rig. I plan on upgrading and adding as we learn and play and get closer to gigging. About Me: 46 years old. Have played drums, guitar, and/or bass for decades. I also sing some. I'm a teacher and have many other hobbies. However, I am dedicated and willing to put the time in to make this work. My kids are grown so I have a lot of time. Willing to practice on my own every night, together once a week, and play out once a month. My home is a drama free, chill zone. About the Band: Looking for 1 or 2 singers male, female, or one of each. Will need either 2 guitarists or one guitar and keys. Will also need a drummer of course. I have experience putting together projects such as this, marketing them, and finding venues, but willing to accept any help/experience. Let me know if you are interested. I think this could be fun.
