I can personally tell you from experience, that any time I’ve posted an ad here with any specific information, some weird trolls flag it and it gets removed in minutes and, unfortunately...CL has no way of dealing with this other than allowing them to be removed. So, personally...I’d rather just make an easy “hi this is me, contact me if you want” type of post. I also think a lot of drummers and others post the fact that they have cars and equipment because, they’ve been to tryouts where that was an issue. I can honestly say that I’ve been to a meetup before where the person organizing the tryout either didn’t show because they didn’t have a ride or came without equipment expecting someone else to have it. It’s hard in jax, the city is very spread out and sometimes you’re meeting with people from very far away and again, unfortunately...people aren’t very serous sometimes and make plans and don’t follow through. I can say that I truely believe that not having success finding a band or players rest more on the very limited mediums we have to use than any individual post I’ve seen. Just my opinion.
