Do you want to be in a research study about the effects of blood pressure on stress? The Neurobiology of Fear Laboratory at McLean Hospital, Belmont is seeking participants for a research study on how blood pressure and stress impact the brain. Participants will undergo a brief phone screening, a clinical evaluation, electroencephalography (EEG) to measure brain activity, a behavioral task, and provide a blood and saliva sample. Participants will be compensated $50.00 for up to 4.5 hours of their time.
We are seeking individuals who:
* Have experienced a stressful or traumatic event at any time in their life
* Have no history of head injury or neurological disorders
* Are between the ages of 18-55
We hope this research study will provide information that will further our understanding of the neurobiology underlying stress-related disorders.
