Description
Do you use social media at least once a week?
Are you between the ages of 18 and 29?
Do you have a cell phone with Internet access and a texting plan?
If so, you may be eligible to participate in a paid research study about how people use social media. Participation, in total, lasts about 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours and involves completing 2 online questionnaires (10-15 minutes each) once, as well as five 1-minute surveys on your phone every day for 15 days. You will be compensated up to $30 for participating in this study.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Must be between the ages of 18 and 29
2. Must be a regular social media user (i.e., use social media, such as Facebook, Snapchat, or Instagram, or other social media, at least once a week)
3. Must have a cell phone with Internet access, on which you would be able to receive 5 texts a day and complete brief 1-minute online surveys for 15 days
4. Must be able to turn on your camera during the brief initial zoom meeting and present ID (just to make sure only one person participates at a time)
If you meet the eligibility criteria and interested in participating in this research study, please contact Natalia Macrynikola at Hunter College by email in the address provided.
