Description

Tai Chi warm up, Mindful Walking, Energy Meditation, be inspired on how we can heal ourselves in nature How would you feel if your doctor’s prescription to you was, “Take 2 hours in nature a week—and I’ll see you next year.” Whether it’s wandering through the woods, scaling a mountain, lounging by the seaside or just laying on a blanket in your local park, studies are revealing the health and immunity benefits of spending time in nature, which include lower probabilities of heart disease, obesity, hospitalization due to asthma, and diabetes in adults, as well as a strong correlation to improved mental health. Sounds easy—but what makes it effective, and more importantly for us, why is it actually so hard to do? As urbanization worldwide grows and people become increasingly disconnected from the natural environment, the impacts can be seen not only on our physical health as a society but also in catastrophic changes to ecosystems. The connection between our health and the health of our planet is undeniable. How can we recover our most fundamental and intuitive connection to Mother Nature, both to heal our bodies and our planet? What lessons do nature and our Earth have for us, and how we can listen? In this session, be ready to meditate, reflect, and be inspired on how we can heal ourselves in nature. What to expect from this event? She believes that human beings have a lot more potential than they know. Lakshmi Delbel has been a Body & Brain practitioner for 13 years and an instructor for five. Having been born and raised in Ecuador amidst the Andean mountains, she holds at her core a desire to be harmonious with nature. After moving to the US, where she obtained a degree in computer science, Lakshmi found herself struggling to manage a growing anxiety and hyperactivity. Eventually she found new hope with Body & Brain. She realized how much we, as humans, can learn to manage our emotionally condition by practicing to better use our brains. Through Body & Brain practice she developed the ability to “troubleshoot” emotions and pains. She now works to integrate her personal interests in self-help and environmental issues with Body & Brain’s philosophy of benefiting all through self-realization.
