VRD Parks Mainenance Department is looking for a Crew Leader for the summer care and up keep of our parks. Ideal candidates will enjoy working outside and won't be afraid to get their hands dirty. Crew leader is responsible for keeping the crew on task and ensuring saftey and productivity throught the work day. Must have driver’s license and be able to drive a truck and trailer. Equipment operation, irrigation, and leadership experience preferred. Must work well as part of a team and have solid managerial skills. The job consists of maintaining athletic fields in Vail and Eagle-Vail. Preparing fields for events, mowing, string trimming, push mowing, irrigation work, and painting field lines are a few of the tasks required. This is a seasonal position that is open from May 3 to October 29. Hours are generally 8am to 4pm with some weekend availability necessary. Pay is $16 - $18 per hour depending on experience.
