PROGRAM ASSISTANT for Affordable Housing Provider Open Position: Program Assistant (10-15 hours per week depending on experience) Jobsite: Primarily at the Albany Partnership for Housing & Community Development (APHCD) main office with occasional work at other properties owned by APHCD. Compensation: $16.00 Depending upon experience Supervisor(s): Property Compliance Manager and Housing Services Manager TO APPLY, please submit resume to [email protected] with subject line “Program Assistant”. Purpose of position: The Program Assistant will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks related to the day to day operations of multiple affordable housing properties. The Program Assistant will work closely with APHCD management to keep operations efficient and responsive to resident needs. Essential Duties: • Complete office tasks as assigned • Print and post notices and newsletters • Coordinate Community Room use and cleaning • Cover office hours and phone communications • Complete financial tasks as assigned • Carry out other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: • Be able to work with and serve a variety of people. • Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills • Be able to climb stairs • Able to use computer, scanner, and other office machines to create and modify documents • Basic email and internet research skills • Strong phone skills and ability to take messages • Be able to work with others and independently • Basic data entry skills • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and insurance coverage. Desired but Not Required Qualifications (training may be provided if necessary): • Able to maintain and create files, both electronic and paper • Proofread documents • Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, Microsoft Office, and/or Outlook • Speak a second language Other Requirements • Must complete a criminal background check prior to being hired, the result of which are satisfactory to the employer. • General Education Diploma (GED) or high school diploma We strive to hire a workforce representative of the communities we serve.
