Full-time Ranch Worker (32-40 hours/week) to help us grow our organic farm. 5 days/week: Includes evenings and weekends. Preferred Skills include: Certified Organic vegetable production, poultry and livestock handling, excellent customer service, basic carpentry, mechanical, and chainsaw experience. Ability to work independently, think on your feet and troubleshoot problems. Stamina, strength, motivation and people skills. Job includes: Milking goats, care and pasture rotation of chickens and goats; vegetable production, harvest, and marketing; guiding guests through a fun and informative agritourism experience, operating heavy equipment and implements; fencing; adaptability to changing weather and needs; heavy, repetitive physical labor, ability to lift 60#. Work also may include forest/wetland restoration, cemetery work, and landscape maintenance. Opportunities exist for participatory leadership and training in diverse agricultural and agritourism enterprises. Reliable transportation, positive attitude, neat appearance, and people skills are required. Drug, Alcohol, and Smoke-Free Workplace. NO calls.
