A Well established street band is open to new musicians itching to get out and play. We will rehearse outside starting in April. We have gigs already lined up for the outdoor 2021 season. Horns, saxes, drummers, hand percussion, dancers, twirlers are the norm. The band continues to grow and continues to bring music to events, parades, celebrations, and local venues. The music is wide ranging from a Sousa march to world music to pop culture and everything in between. We are well organized, happy people, and electronically savvy with a Facebook Page, a web site, and band roster/gig site called Gig-o-matic, and a google drive for sheet music. We have made several videos including 2020 submissions for Noho Pride, Portsmouth Pride, and the HONK! Festival in Somerville as well as 2 homemade videos, keeping us busy over the pandemic. We were scheduled for the Big E parade in 2020 - which never happened. Hoping to reconnect with them. The pandemic is not over, so we roll with the mandates and changes. Flexibility is key. We look for enthusiastic musicians, some background in music needed. You need your own equipment. You need to attend rehearsals and gigs with some regularity. That means you attend, more than you miss. You will have fun, we always do. Is this you? Give me a shout. We can get you playing, raising your level of playing and improv ability is a plus.
