Advanced Cardiac Live Support (ACLS) Initial Two day class: 9am to 5pm Select either class: March 19 and 20 or October 8 and 9 The ACLS Provider Course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a team leader in either an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting. This course is designed to teach you: • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia • Airway management • Related pharmacology • Management of ACS and Stroke • Effective communication within a resuscitation team (When registering for this class: If your department is paying for class click "Pay at the Door", if you are paying for the class yourself click "Pay Now") Questions? Location: Hardenbergh How to Get Ready: The ACLS Provider Certification Course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a team leader in either an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting. You will need to prepare for the course beforehand. Students must have a current BLS Health Care Provider card to attend this class. PALS Provider Manual: If you are a Lakeview employee you can pick up a text book to use for this class in your department. If you are from outside of Lakeview you can pick up a text book to use for this class, or have one sent to you (please send an email with the address you would like the book sent to). You should prepare for the course as follows: 1. Review BLS skills. You must have a valid BLS certification prior to attending this course. You will not be taught how to do CPR or how to use an AED. You must know this in advance. 2. Review the information in your ACLS Provider Manual. 3. Bring your ACLS Provider Manual to use as a reference guide during the course.
