Our second installment of BK101 training, where you can practically apply skills for hive inspections, handling frames, opening hives, etc. Our second installment of BK101 training, where you can practically apply skills for hive inspections, handling frames, opening hives, identifying queens, brood, eggs, etc... We recommend bringing a bee suit (or veil), a smoker (if you have one), and a hive tool. Bring a chair, as we may need to split trainings into teams and there may be a wait, to follow social distancing best practices. Please adhere to social distancing practices, wear a mask, and do not come if you are feeling ill or displaying any symptoms related to COVID-19. This is an onsite even held outdoors, we recommend that people from the Hampton Roads area sign up. Also, note there are no toilet facilities. Location: 412 Scarborough Drive, 23322. Park at the church and walk to the bee yard at 322 Mt. Pleasant.
