Join us for a Holy Week Kintsugi Workshop (led by Tina Riesterer and Pastor Gaye) that will allow us to have a hands-on experience that pulls together all the topics we’ve been talking about during our Lenten Worship Series.
Tuesday March 30th, 2021 6:30-8:00PM in the Community Hall (with social distancing).
Attendance is limited to the first 10 people who register!
Kintsugi is the 400+ year old Japanese art of pottery repair that honors an item’s unique history by emphasizing, not hiding, the break.
If you have a bowl or plate or other item that is already broken, you may bring it with you (or maybe you have something you like but are willing to allow it to be broken in order to enhance its beauty please feel free to bring it also!
We will provide pottery pieces and needed supplies for everyone who signs up, and we will have a discussion of the spiritual aspects of this art while we are waiting for everything to cure and dry!!
Here is a link to a great article about this artistic way of thinking… Kintsugi and the Art of Repair
