Immediate Openings for Tree Climber (Trainee positions available) We are seeking experienced, knowledgeable, and professional climbers to perform pruning, removals, and general tree maintenance. Visit our website to learn more about us: Responsibilities and Duties Tree Climber / Foreman is overall in charge of the production crew assigned to him/her. Must be self‐motivated and possess the ability perform all Tree Care operations and any other tasks asked of him/her to the highest level of excellence, he/she is also responsible for setting the precedence for all production personnel. Joint responsibility for all forms of training, the use of old and new equipment, safety, and tree work procedures, etc. Responsible for setting the precedence for all of his/her crew members. Responsible for ensuring that all crew members work to the highest levels in Safety Quality and production, e.g. Safe working procedures and ensuring that all crew members are wearing all of the necessary Personal Protective Equipment ‐ PPE. He must also ensure that all crewmembers and the general public are kept safe by setting up adequate traffic cones, tape, and warning signs before any work commences. Responsible for designating on-site duties and procedures to the crew before the commencement of any work and that every crewmember understands. He/She must establish a safe/suitable area within the work site to stage equipment; gas up saws, safety bag and first aid kit. Responsible for reading and clearly understanding the work specifications on each and every job work order before starting any work on the client property, any questions should be directed towards the relevant sales representative. Responsible for talking to the client on each and every job site on arrival and before any work commences and walking the job site with the client after the specified work has been completed.He must also have the ability to overcome any minor problems that may occur on job sites related to the client's concerns or demands, or immediately report them to the relevant sales representative. Responsible for pre‐ trip inspection on his/her truck and chipper, all other equipment being used by him/her or by the crew should be inspected before leaving the yard every morning, the check Accident Prevention/ Safety Plan/ Hazard Communication list must be submitted to the General Manager before leaving the yard each evening. Damage or defects shall also be reported to the General Manager as soon as possible. (In writing). Truck interiors must be cleaned out at the end of each day and the exterior must be cleaned at least once per week. It is his/her duty to note any reasonable recommendations for improvement in the working system and to implement them. This position requires that the Crew Foreman/Climber (I) be the companies eyes and ears when out in the field, he/she shall report any problems to the General Manager.
