Tour Salem through the eyes of one of its prominent families, and how the city made an international name for itself through sail & trade.
The Silsbee family, the second owners of the Daniels House in the late 18th/early 19th century, was one of Salem's prominent families at the height of the city's might. Back in their day Salem was a booming shipping and trading town. On this 1-hour walking tour, we'll explore Salem as the Silsbee family saw it. Starting and ending at their c1667 house, the approximately 1 mile loop will allow you to experience and appreciate Salem at its height and how this period would shape the city even to this day.
