Press release from the Town of Northborough: March 17, 2021 The Northborough Fire Department seeks qualified applicants to establish a list for an anticipated opening for a full-time position of Firefighter/Paramedic. The successful candidate will work a rotating shift of 24/on 48/off, 24/on 96/off over an eight-week rotation (42-hour week on average). Applicants must possess MA certification as an EMT-Paramedic with a minimum of one year of job-related experience. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Fire Science or Paramedicine is desirable. If the successful applicant has not completed the MA Fire Academy's Career Firefighter Recruit Training Program, he/she will be enrolled post-hire. Per the union contract, the successful candidate shall reside in Town or shall establish and/or maintain residency in a community whose border lies within fifteen air miles of Northborough's border. Valid MA driver's license required. Annual compensation range, inclusive of base wages and paramedic stipend, is $60,439 - $72,694, dependent upon qualifications; comprehensive benefits provided.
