TAMPA, FL — The city of Tampa Emergency Operations Center is seeking CERT recruits for its upcoming class. CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) members assist with neighborhood disaster preparedness. Classes will be forming soon. CERT is a FEMA-funded program that educates volunteers about disaster preparedness and the hazards that may impact your area. Volunteers are trained on basic response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations.
