Description
Hello. I have recently retired from a professional career and am looking to join a classic rock band for occasional afternoon/early evening gigs. I have no interest in being out until 3 or 4 in the morning finishing up a gig - been there, done that, won't do it anymore. My interest is in playing good danceable music that will keep people on the dancefloor having fun - I don't want to play songs that have far outlasted their shelf life and should be buried (no I'm Your Captain, Can't You See, or Free Bird type dirges). Songs that cover the 50s thru the 80s (maybe some 90s and recent material if it fits the band) would be great. Preferably, the gigs will be at restaurants on the beach, at VFW/Elks-type places, and anywhere else where the band isn't required to jump behind the amps just to avoid getting hit with flying beers. I have plenty of pro-level equipment that comes from playing the club circuit for years, have the desire to actually practice the songs, have a laid-back attitude, have no interest in the drinking/druggie mentality, and am reliable. I cannot sing lead vocals anymore -my voice is shot. However, I can certainly do some backup/harmony singing. If this ad sounds interesting, email or text
. Thanks! Joe
