CBS Miami March 18, 2021 A central Florida man who lied about damaged caused by Hurricane Irma has been sentenced to three years in federal prison. Steven Rembert, 49, was sentenced Monday in Orlando federal court. Last December, he pleaded guilty to disaster assistance fraud. In September 2017, Rembert falsified records concerning his primary residence when submitting an application for assistance to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, according to an indictment.
