BRANDON, FL — If you or a loved one can not get to a vaccination site due to being homebound, the Hillsborough County Health Department is providing assistance. According to health officials, homebound residents can contact the Florida Division of Emergency Management to be added to a COVID-19 vaccination list. Email [email protected] to request a survey to determine eligibility. If eligible, officials said a team will go directly to the person to administer the vaccine. Eligibility (must fall in one of the following groups) 60 years of age and olderUnder 60 years of age and deemed medically vulnerable by a physician (form required)Currently unavailable at county vaccination locationsHealth care workersFamily care providersLicensed child care providersPre-K through Grade 12 school employees (public, private, and charter)Sworn law enforcement officers 50 years of age and olderFirefighters 50 years of age and older Persons without proper applicable credentials will not receive a vaccine and will be turned away.
