Press release from the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce : Lori Douglas 03/19/2021 Elementary and middle school instrumental music percussion students of the Northwest Region of Carroll County will participate in a virtual workshop presented by John Locke, professional percussionist and member of the world-class Baltimore Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, March 24th from 1:00 to 1:40pm. He will join students to perform and discuss ways for students to improve their own performance skills. The BSO is pleased to offer musician virtual visits free of charge to music classrooms in the state. These visits can take the shape of master classes for a specific instrument, clinics for the entire performing group, or discussion on a specific topic relating to what the group is working on that the teacher requests. For the elementary levels, BSO musicians could be available to visit music classrooms to demonstrate their instrument.
