Description

The Coordinator of Vocational Services reports to the LOVARC HRA & co-CEO and oversees the administration of LOVARC work programs for disabled adults. A partial list of responsibilities include: Creating and/or maintaining various policies, procedures and documentation required to comply with CARF and referring agencies; taking a leadership role in LOVARC’s relations with Santa Barbara County Department of Behavioral Wellness, Department of Rehabilitation and Tri-Counties Regional Center; maintaining regular communication with family members of persons served; developing and directing programs to ensure quality programs for employees and compliance with Title 17 of the California Code of Regulations; performing or delegating on-call duties to handle emergencies that occur at any time; developing behavior management techniques to minimize undesired behavioral issues, and report problems and issues promptly to the team; preparing all necessary documents for Ability One/Source America, Department of Developmental Services, Tri- Counties Regional Center and the Department of Rehabilitation; and performing other administrative duties as assigned. Mandatory requirements include: Minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in related field; management experience, and experience with persons of disability; current knowledge of law and regulations related to the field of rehabilitation in general, and employment in particular. Knowledge of program management in Human or Social Services environment, and five (5) years’ experience in vocational rehabilitation administration is preferred. Demonstrated capability to perform the required duties through previous experience and education may be substituted for the educational requirements.
