SUMMARY: ATHENA Consulting is an award-winning staffing firm serving state and local governments. We are currently recruiting for 2 landscaper/groundskeeper one part time and one full time for one of our clients located in St. Augustine, FL. These positions pays $12.00 per hour and requires a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION: 2 positions 1 PART TIME AND 1 FULLTIME Hours M-F between 7am- to 4:30pm Summer Part time - starting in April - September Under general supervision, this position performs skilled park/general maintenance work considerable responsibility, complexity, and variety. Performs inside janitorial work, outside grounds keeping and maintenance on all recreational facilities. Performs inside janitorial work, outside groundskeeping and maintenance on all recreational facilities. • Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws; mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edger. • Care for established lawns by seeding, fertilizing, mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls. • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes. • Digs holes for plants, mixes fertilizer or lime with dirt; hauls & spreads topsoil, straw and mulch; decorates garden; Applies herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides using spreaders or spray equipment. • Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws. • Gather and remove litter. • Maintain and repair tools, equipment, and structures such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, and benches, using hand and power tools. • Builds forms, mixes and pours concrete to form garden borders. • Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, and other grounds features. • Perform related work as required or assigned.
