Description
DANBURY, CT — Nuvance Health will be moving Danbury Hospital's coronavirus vaccine clinic to the mall.
As the state enters a new tier of eligibility, with residents 45 and older now qualifying for the vaccine, Nuvance has begun transitioning the clinics at its hospitals into community sites.
The last day for the Danbury Hospital Clinic will be Friday. Starting Monday, vaccines will be administered at the Danbury Fair Mall drive-through site. This includes second doses for anyone vaccinated at Danbury Hospital through March 19.
The Danbury Hospital site is not the only clinic that's on the move.
The last day for first doses at the New Milford Hospital Clinic will be March 26 and second doses will be administered through April 23. Moving forward, Nuvance Health will continue partnering with the New Milford Health Department to administer vaccines at community sites.
The Norwalk Hospital Clinic moved from the hospital to the Stevens Street Clinic located at 31 Stevens Street.
The Sharon Hospital Clinic will continue administering vaccines until further notice. Nuvance Health and community agencies are working together to administer vaccines at community sites in the Northwest area of Connecticut.
Nuvance Health Medical Practice is also administering vaccines at Danbury Primary Care with plans to expand to other practices based on available supply.
All vaccinations remain by appointment only. Eligible residents who want to be vaccinated must find a nearby site and schedule an appointment online by or call the Connecticut COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Assist Line at 1-877-918-2224 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
