LAKEWOOD, CO — More than 11,800 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Lakewood since the outbreak began in Colorado.
Over the past two weeks, 276 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Lakewood, according to Jefferson County Public Health data. The rate of infection per 1,000 residents in Lakewood is 75.43, the data shows.
There have been 39,103 cases and 776 deaths in Jeffco since the outbreak began, health officials confirmed.
Around 37,330 people have recovered in the county and 35 people were hospitalized with the coronavirus as of Thursday.

As of Friday, Coloradans ages 50 and older, as well as people ages 16 to 49 with one high-risk health condition, are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, but the allocation of doses has remained limited in Jefferson County, and appointments have been filling up quickly.
