*Monthly Bonus*Sundays Off *Vacation Must have a valid NC driver's license. Must have experience driving a box truck. Must be able to work every Saturday (Wednesday & Sunday off). Must be willing to undergo a background screening & drug test in accordance with local law & regulations. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for performing a variety of specific duties at the store and outside locations. Operates and maintains a delivery vehicle consistent with employer’s policy. Prepares merchandise for delivery, delivers, installs, and demonstrates merchandise in the customer’s home. Performs a variety of customer service functions; strives to serve the customer professionally at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Ensures complete customer satisfaction using all customer service satisfaction methods. 2. Learns and complies with the employer’s guidelines by working in a safe manner. 3. Identifies, reports, and resolves unsafe conditions that may result in property damage or personal injury. 4. Observes all state and federal traffic laws and wears a seatbelt while in the company vehicle at all times. 5. Operates vehicles safely on public roads between store locations and customers’ homes. 6. Maintains vehicle security. 7. Maintains the vehicle’s condition by inspecting the delivery vehicle daily to diagnose defects and keep it performing properly using the vehicle inspection checklist. 8. Cleans, checks, and tests merchandise before loading. 9. Wears OSHA required equipment consistent with moving merchandise. 10. Calls customer and completes pre-delivery checklist. 11. Follows the daily delivery schedule. 12. Loads and unloads merchandise, unboxes, set ups, displays, cleans, touches up, repairs, refurbishes, test/checks returned products, and services merchandise as needed. 13. Delivers and returns merchandise with proper use of a dolly, shipping blankets, and tie-downs to secure the merchandise. 14. Uses a delivery checklist to ensure the merchandise is properly installed and demonstrated. 15. Picks-up repossessed merchandise from customers’ homes as instructed by management. 16. Removes and disposes of packing materials. 17. Secures and maintains the company issued tools. 18. Performs minor service calls and repairs. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Cleans and maintains showroom, office areas, restrooms, front and back of store, windows, light fixtures, walls, floor, carpet, dumpster area, and furniture as needed. 2. Maintains cleaning supplies and equipment. 3. Notifies management concerning need for repairs. 4. Assists store manager in store maintenance and display. 5. Any project assigned by management. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS 1. Clean, valid driver’s license – ability to be DOT certified if required. 2. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, kneel, sit, stand, and walk. 3. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. without assistance and 200 lbs. with the aid of a dolly or the assistance of another person without sustaining personal injury or damaging the merchandise. 4. Flexible working hours, including weekends. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 1. High school education or GED. 2. Ability to read tags, instructions, maps, and documents. 3. Ability to install and service home appliances, electronics, etc. 4. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and personnel; assimilate information and make decisions; work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner. 5. Ability to plan and organize daily work activities and work independently in absence of supervisor. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: 1. Works indoors in a controlled environment and is exposed to weather during deliveries. 2. May be exposed to dust and airborne particles.
