We're looking for a friendly, knowledgeable and helpful person to fill our Garden Center position. Multi-tasking skills and Customer Service is a must. Our Garden Center needs an expert who can merchandise and care for our Garden Center and answer customer questions. If you like flowers, shrubs and all things gardening then this is the job for you! You must like people and be able to lift 50lbs. This is a full time, 40 hour per week position and summer months may require working weekends. Responsibilities include watering, assisting customers, caring for flowers, trees and shrubs and unloading incoming freight and stocking and maintaining seasonal products. Qualifications/Skills: * Strong plant knowledge is required * Strong work ethic and positive attitude * Exceptional customer service skills * Ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks and work with the public and employees * Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time, lift 50lbs and work in various weather conditions * Weekends are required * Care and maintenance of plant stock * Unloading and displaying/storing of merchandise * Maintaining the appearance of the grounds and seasonal area.
