Description
Press release from the Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123:
District 123 continues the partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation this year. District 123 has partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for the last 15 years, and this year is no different. District 123 has worked with Make-A-Wish to grant over 90 wishes and raise over $500,000. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
The foundation seeks to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research has shown that children who have wishes granted build the physical and emotional strength needed to fight a critical illness.
This can improve their quality of life and produce better health outcomes. District 123 continues to be a proud partner to the Make-A-Wish foundation and looks forward to continuing to raise donations and grant wishes for this worthy cause.
