NOVATO, CA — If you live in Novato and think you have some constructive input to offer on how to overcome a $2.1 million budget shortfall, city officials want to hear from.
The city earlier week issued a survey seeking the public's feedback on priorities it hopes will help guide officials confronting tough challenges.
Facing a $5.7 million deficit in September, city officials approved over $3.5 million in budget cuts, including reductions to both services to the community and staffing levels.
"With the social and economic impacts of COVID-19 on our community, your feedback on this year's budget is more important than ever," city officials said in a statement announcing the survey.
"You can help guide the City's budget process by prioritizing the City service areas that are most important to you."
