NORRISTOWN, PA — A man is behind bars after police said he shot and killed his ex-girlfriend's brother following a New Year's Eve party in Norristown.
An arrest warrant for Nyjeah White, 27, of Lansdowne was issued back on Jan. 2. U.S. Marshals took him into custody in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on Friday.
The incident occurred on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020 in an alley on the 1200 block of Markley Street.
White went outside to talk the victim, 36-year-old Rasheed Bundy, at some point around 9:30 p.m., according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
Security footage showed Bundy leaving his home on the block and entering the alley, just two doors away, to meet White, police said.
Details on the incident remain scarce. In the ensuing moments, White shot Bundy several times, and when police arrived they found Bundy dead, they said.
White was charged with first and third degree murder and firearms charges. No bail is available for the first degree murder charge, and he was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
A preliminary hearing is set for April 2.
