Join our gardening team this season! Just Weed It is starting our 8th season in Ann Arbor. We beautify homes and businesses. We do NOT cut grass or use chemicals for weed prevention. We have a few spots available for this year. (We have many returning crew members from last year) Why? We treat our employees the way we like to be treated! Our employees use their own vehicles to go from job to job throughout the day. We complete background checks on candidates. Here's what you will be doing : Weeding by hand Maintain and trim flower beds, bushes, and shrubs Plant flowers, bulbs and shrubs Lay mulch and decorative rock Rake leaves Prepare gardening sites Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements High school diploma or GED; with one year relative experience or: Some college completed from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Some knowledge of plants and weeds. (No worries if experience is minimal. We train!) Ability to use hand and power tools Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects. Ability to read, understand, follow, and use safety procedures. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
