Blues and Jazz improvisation for saxophone

Meets

Washington DC

Description

I teach blues and jazz improvisation for saxophone and clarinet via video app. Students say that online instruction is like having private instruction in your home. Lessons include music theory, instrumental technique, and other tools needed improvise over chord changes, and create an interesting, melodic solo. I’ve led my own quartet/quintet for over twenty years, and have also taught improvisation for most of that time. I have a Music Degree, and three Fellowship Awards from the DC Commission for the Arts. My instructors have included DC jazz saxophonist Buck Hill and Bill Wright (National Symphony).
