Would you like a job, that relies on you being ON TIME, show respect, helping people find stuff, pickup and move stuff around a large indoor sales showroom? We are the areas LARGEST indoor antique mall of sorts. We have a lot of floor room to cover, about 30,000K square feet of sales spaces with 60 quality dealers. Doors, lots of stairs, lifting and walking about all day...we do have very busy times where we all scramble about, but other times we are very chill. *Your job isn't too complicated...its helping our customers with what ever they can come up with...carry items up to checkout, wrap items in paper, bags, boxes, carry stuff out to cars with exceptional care. We dress casual, no jeans, but we do wear khakis, no shorts. Decent collared shirts, no t shirts. No smokers...our clients might not appreciate the smell, and we certainly don't want to be looking for you smoking out back. What you do outside of work is your business...we are laid back. We don't yell at each other, we support our team! * If you are reading up to this point and feel pretty good about all this...keep going. 99% of our employees have been with us since grand opening. Long haired hippies can apply...your hair can be tied up! We would like someone over 18, and we do some heavy lifting occasionally, but never by yourself. You must be clean, as in you know how and do shower with soap, wear deodorant and keep your self presentable. Not sexy pretty, but presentable. We do work for a living. No fu fu, I can't break a nail nor cannot break a sweat kind of people needed! *We are a family owned business local to NC. Your personality will need to get along with the personalities already here...but that is not real hard. We try hard not to cuss, but it will happen! Our employee hours are 930AM til 545pm. We are paid twice a month. You will be on a trial period before we commit to keeping you. We have pretty much set schedules, everyone gets 2 days off a week. Unlike the corporate world, we are closed holidays. *The worst part about this job??? Sometimes on rare occasions...we get get a customer who wants to be not so polite. Easily solved. We wear masks [mandatory], if you or any customer does not want to...they are asked to leave. *Our business is about selling antiques, collectibles, jewelry, rugs, mirrors, drapes, custom furniture, interesting stuff, outdoor furniture, fine antiques, primitives, we have a custom frame shop, a lamp shop, a shade shop and we fix furniture and lamps too....etc. YOU are not expected to know much about either/all, but you must be teachable, cooperative, generally not clumsy, honest, productive, and if you know about computers [setting up and maintaining our websites/instagram/facebook/first dibs/ camera work that's a real PLUS]. *We are located literally on Hillsborough st. [ 5425] about 2 blocks from the fairgrounds in the old Wayside Furniture building.
