TUSCALOOSA, AL — Live music is slowly making its way back to everyday life and the City of Tuscaloosa is now accepting applications for live performers for upcoming events.
Applications are due by March 26 at midnight. The city says any live performer wishing to play at The Druid City Arts Festival, Live at the Plaza or any other city event can apply online.
Requirements on the form include a link to a website or online video that demonstrates at least three live songs being performed. Applicants may also submit a jump drive or CD that includes a live recording of at least three songs. These can be mailed to or dropped off at 3440 Kauloosa Avenue, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.

For Live at the Plaza applications, a selection committee will review all applicant and make a decision by April 16, while decisions will be made for the Druid City Arts Festival by April 2.
The Druid City Arts Festival is scheduled for Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15.
This year, Live at the Plaza performances are scheduled for every Friday in June and July as well as select dates in the fall.
Each concert is scheduled 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with as many as three performers possibly selected for each concert.
